If the enemy forces you to fight on their side

If you or your relatives have become victims of forced "mobilisation" in the occupied territories, you need to find a way to surrender to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

To do this, you need to notify the operators of the state Ukrainian project for surrender "I Want to Live" in advance that you have been mobilised and want to surrender.

If you are alone

As soon as you get to the territory controlled by Ukraine, surrender. To do this:

  • unclip the magazine and hang the weapon on your left shoulder with the barrel facing down;
  • raise your hands and show that you are not holding anything;
  • hold up a white cloth (if you have one);
  • shout loudly "I surrender!"
  • approach after the command;
  • inform that you are a Ukrainian citizen from the occupied territories.

If you want to surrender as a unit or group

  • Turn off the military equipment (it should be in a non-combat position) and stand in front of it.
  • Put down all weapons and step away from it.
  • Send a negotiator from you to the Ukrainian military. This person should be an officer or the most senior among you. He should be unarmed and carry a white flag (cloth).

Thanks to this instruction, you will stay alive and return to your families soon.

Remember that residents of the temporarily occupied territories who voluntarily join the armed forces of the Russian Federation violate Ukrainian law and will be severely punished (imprisonment from 8 years to life imprisonment).
