Kherson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"title_anchor\">\n    <span id=\"dron\" class=\"title_anchor__anchor\"><\/span>\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <h2 class=\"title title-5\">\n            Attack by drones dropping explosives: how to protect yourself         <\/h2>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"text_block\">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"body body-2 simple-text\">\n            <p><b>First of all, remember: all objects in the air should be treated as hostile.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If an enemy drone is floating low above you, most likely you have already been spotted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main rule for survival: <\/span><b>if you hear the sound of a drone or see a drone in the sky, immediately take shelter!\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>If there is no shelter nearby:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hide in the basement or on the ground floor;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if there are none nearby, follow the &#8220;two walls&#8221; rule (which means that you should be separated from the danger by two walls).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Under no circumstances hide:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in entrances;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">under arches;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on the stairs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If the drone is already above you and you still have some distance to go to shelter:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">move quickly, change direction every 7 to 10 metres and run in a &#8220;snake&#8221; manner (this will make it harder for the enemy drone operator to make an accurate drop);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stay away from administrative buildings, strategic and military facilities, and petrol stations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If you are in a vehicle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the time of the threat, immediately get out and run away from the road, find a shelter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Remember:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> never touch a fallen drone or its wreckage! Report the crash site to rescuers or the police by calling 101 or 102.<\/span><\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"title_anchor\">\n    <span id=\"mina\" class=\"title_anchor__anchor\"><\/span>\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <h2 class=\"title title-5\">\n            Enemy remotely mines Kherson region: how to protect yourself        <\/h2>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"text_block\">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"body body-2 simple-text\">\n            <p><b>Yesterday the area was safe, but today it may be mined.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This applies to the usual way to work and the yard of your house. After all, the <\/span><b>territory can be mined remotely<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the help of portable mining complexes, aircraft and drones. Mining complexes are capable of scattering devices at a distance of up to 70 kilometres. One salvo can literally &#8220;sow&#8221; a 1 km\u00b2 area with hundreds of mines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0In the Kherson region, the most commonly seen mines are <\/span><b>petal mines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (they are named after their shape), the PTM-4 anti-tank mine, and the PTM-1S delayed action mine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>A petal mine:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">small size 11*6*2 cm;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has a plastic body;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can be green, brown or other colours;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">explodes when pressed with a weight of 5 kg or more.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>If you see a mine:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stop immediately;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">remain calm: if you panic, you may take unnecessary steps and hit nearby mines;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if you are not alone, inform others loudly;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">don&#8217;t come closer yourself and don&#8217;t let others come near;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">don&#8217;t move, look around to see if there are any more mines near you;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if you see nothing, carefully follow your own footsteps and move as far away as possible (at least 100 metres), hide behind a building;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">when you have got as far away as possible, mark the area with a noticeable sign \u2013 a ribbon, branch, cloth;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report the find to the <\/span><b>State Emergency Service<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (by calling <\/span><b>101<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) or the <\/span><b>police<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (by calling <\/span><b>102<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) and wait for the arrival of specialists.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>IN NO CASE should you:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">touch the mine;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">move it;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">try to disassemble it;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cover it with something;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bring it indoors;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hit it;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">throw it into a water body;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">light a fire nearby or throw something at a mine;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bury it in the ground.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Remember:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if you see one mine, there may be many around!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Be sure to teach your children these rules!<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Due to its unusual shape and small size, children often confuse a petal mine with a toy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Learning the safety rules in advance can save lives! The Kherson District State Military Administration issued an order to this effect in May 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the water bodies of southern Ukraine remain contaminated with explosive devices. To this day, the coastal regions are subject to constant shelling by artillery and drones. The enemy also remotely mines the area. Therefore, it is <\/span><b>deadly dangerous<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Unless permission is given by the local authorities, you MUST NOT:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">visit the coastal areas of water bodies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enter the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the right bank of the Dnipro;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Approach the engineering barriers at a distance closer than 30 metres (these are the barriers installed along the right bank of the Dnipro, Ingults, the left bank of the river Viryovchyna, along the banks of the river Kosova);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">approach engineering obstacles in any other places if there is a &#8220;Caution!
